Listed below is an overview of qualifications and requirements implemented by management to ensure not only the safety of our employees, but the safety and security of the community and the customers we serve. 

A. STATE MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER’S RECORD CHECK

B. 7 YEAR BACKGROUND CHECK UTILIZING E-VERIFILE

* Required by the Railroad industry and includes:   
1.     Risk Assessment, Registration & Picture ID Badging
2.     7 year address history
3.     Criminal report (Nationwide)
4.     Felony and misdemeanor records check

C. PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING

D. LOCAL CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK

E. US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION

F. FINGERPRINTING AND BACKGROUND CHECKS IN COMPLIANCE WITH AIRLINE SECURITY PLAN, TSA REG. 1542.205(e) AND 49 CFR - 1544 *Required by the Airline industry

G. TWIC PROGRAM (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) *Required by the U.S. Coast Guard

Employees requiring unescorted access to secure areas of Maritime Transportation Facilities are required to undergo the background check, and fingerprinting necessary to obtain the “Smart Card” required by the Transportation Security Administration.
